Host Intro: We're Bob & Greta. We live in Southern California, and sail our 37 foot sloop SPARX out of Long Beach. We've been happily married for over 30 years, with two grown daughters, and this will be our ninth trip "home". Bob's a television engineer, and Greta does payables for a small company that sells equipment to surveyors.

Valentine's Week (actually, the week ending in Presidents' Day Weekend) is our time to kick back and party with our friends. Originally, we just picked the week at random, and had so much fun on our first trip that we keep coming back year after year. The first year, we hung out with a couple from our hometown who were on their tenth trip, and they very graciously "showed us the ropes" (actually, that's an old sailing term) at Hedo.

Each year after that, we connected with a group, which got bigger and bigger each year, and each year was more fun than the last. We already know a lot of you from those trips, and are really happy to be the group hosts this year.

Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make the trip in 2009, due to the general state of the economy, and the fact that we’d spent the vacation budget on remodeling our home. We’re hoping to be there in 2010.

If you're new to the Hedo experience, you're in for the vacation of your life!! If you haven't been to Hedo in a few years, you're in for a real treat. . .there have been a bunch of improvements made to the resort in the past few years to make it more fun than ever!!
